Why We Built This Site
Indiana offers several public access routes, but no single public arrest-warrant database. Wells County courts issue warrants and control recall or modification. The clerk maintains Circuit and Superior records, and the sheriff serves warrants and links the county-facing list. Bluffton City Court handles its own municipal traffic and ordinance cases. MyCase may show a warrant event inside a public case summary, though an absent result is not proof of clearance. We bring the official roles, contacts, portals, and Indiana Access to Public Records Act process together so readers can start with the office that holds the relevant record.
What You Will Find Here
- Checking records: ways to use the sheriff-linked list, MyCase, and an issuing clerk
- Open warrants: what an active status means and why a dated list may lag
- Missed appearances: how a Wells court may issue a bench warrant and where status is confirmed
- Criminal warrants: the different roles of the issuing judge, county clerk, and serving agency
- Next steps: why recall, bond, appearance, or a motion must go through the issuing court, often with counsel
What We Cannot Do
This privately operated reference site is independent of Indiana courts, Wells County government, and law enforcement. Those limits mean:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Independent providers operate search boxes on some content pages and set their own prices, results, and privacy practices. A completed paid signup may generate a referral fee that supports site operation. We do not control the provider's data, and no partner result is an official Wells County warrant confirmation.
